Description

We really love Batobus (all the kids too!) because this is a really neat and pleasant way to have a different view of the heart of the city of Paris. In fact, on our first visit back 10 years ago, we used the bateaux mouches with the one hour tour ride with commentary which was nice but we’re now using Batobus because it’s not limited to just a ride and it’s really cheap. You can stay on board and get off as you please at any of the 8 stops: Champs Elysées, Eiffel tower, Orsay Museum, Saint Germain des Près, Notre-Dame, Jardines des Plantes, Hotel de Ville and Louvre. Sometimes can be crowded, remember that this boat service is essentially used by Parisians to cross the river or get from one stop to another instead of using the metro or public bus.

You can buy them online at Conciergerie ticket desk, reliable service with a bunch of pro behind keyboards. Ticket issued online and as of today, their rate is cheaper than buying tickets while in Paris.

 Conclusion

One of the Paris must do things, you won’t regret it. First comers should consider the touristic one hour tour, you must do it at least once.

  1. If I book online can I get my ticket at any of the 8 stops for Batobus?

Also, we are driving from Calais, where is the best place to park (my elderly parents are travelling with us) to get on the Batobus ?

    Many thanks.
